DrangonsDenCurriculum
Many people do not realize that the study of martial arts is a life long pursuit. There are no short cuts.  The success of an individual in a real fight depends upon awareness, skill, determination, as well as mental and physical toughness. That is why at Dragon's Den we have always taught in the traditional format; always striving for the perfection of technique, always training hard, and always searching for a strong resolution to conflict.  While other schools have limited themselves to either sport technique or a mixture of techniques taken from several different arts, our curriculum has always maintained the traditional aspect of training in each art that we offer.

Aikijujutsu
Developed centuries ago around the code of the samurai this is an art that encompasses every aspect of fighting. Aikijujutsu predates all other arts to have come from Japan and includes training in striking, grappling, bone breaking, pressure points, restraint, traditional weaponry, as well as pistol and rifle use and defense.

Kenpo Karate
Originating in China over 2,000 years ago, Kenpo was developed through a great loss of human life. Employing scientific principles of motion to generate great amounts of power in a very small space and time, Kenpo earned a reputation as being one of if not the most lethal of all the martial arts. The hand speed developed through good kenpo training is second to none.

Iaido
To study the sword is to study life. The practice of Iaido is ancient and very traditional, as the sword was the weapon of choice in centuries past. A student in this art learns a type of discipline rarely found in other arts. Coordination, focus, and memory are greatly improved from practice. This is not classified as a means of self defense but rather its practice is considered to be truly an art form.
